NEMT in Western Lake County: Mentor, Willoughby and Euclid
September 11, 2026
Western Lake County sits in an awkward spot for medical transportation. Plenty of care is close by, in Willoughby, Mentor and Euclid, but the big specialty centers are back towards Cleveland, and the drive gets long.
Here is how transportation works across this corner of the county.
Communities we serve
Euclid, Wickliffe, Lakeline, Willowick, Willoughby Hills, Richmond Heights, Gates Mills, Kirtland Hills, Willoughby, Mentor-on-the-Lake, Waite Hill, Kirtland and Mentor.
That is Western Lake County and the communities immediately around it. We do not claim the whole county, and we would rather say so than take a booking we cannot keep. If you are outside the list, call and ask.
Hospitals and medical centers
- UH Lake West Medical Center, Willoughby
- UH TriPoint Medical Center, Concord Township
- Cleveland Clinic Euclid Hospital
- Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital, Mayfield Heights
- UH Lake Health urgent care, Mentor and Willowick
Dialysis centers
- Mentor Dialysis Center and Euclid Dialysis Center (Cleveland Clinic)
- Fresenius Kidney Care, Mentor and Euclid
- Center for Dialysis Care, Mentor
We also drive into Cleveland regularly for Cleveland Clinic main campus, University Hospitals and MetroHealth. Being in Lake County does not limit you to Lake County care.
What Traditional Ohio Medicaid covers
Traditional Ohio Medicaid covers non-emergency medical transportation for eligible members traveling to covered appointments. That is fee-for-service Medicaid, administered directly by the state rather than through a managed care company.
If that is your plan, we verify eligibility, handle the authorization and submit the claim. You pay nothing and file nothing.
We do not bill Medicaid managed care plans or MyCare Ohio. If you are on one of those, your plan arranges transportation through its own contracted providers. We can still drive you privately, at our published rates.
Private-pay rates are $35 to $75 for sedan transportation locally and $50 to $100 for wheelchair transportation depending on location. Broda® Chair and long-distance trips are quoted individually.
Not sure which plan you are on? Look at your Medicaid card. If it carries a company name and logo, you are in managed care. If it is a plain State of Ohio card, you are on Traditional Medicaid. Or call 440-468-6976 and read us your ID, and we will check.
